Out of all the powerful forces in the universe, love just may be the most powerful force there is. It may be the most influential human emotion we can experience. When you love someone, there’s nothing you wouldn’t do for that person. There’s no need you wouldn’t meet. There’s no price you wouldn’t pay. There’s no sacrifice too great. Love is powerful. It is the powerful force of God’s love that motivated the Christmas story. Love is behind everything He did. Therefore, if we’re going to practice Christmas like Jesus, then love has to be one of the topics.

Sermon Series: Practice Christmas Like Jesus

Everyone has unique Christmas traditions and practices. It’s these traditions that often make the holidays unique and special. But what if we also thought about practicing Christmas like Jesus? What do I mean? Well, He is the One who started the whole thing. We are celebrating His birth. What if we looked at the entire Christmas story from a different perspective? Not only are we celebrating Jesus’ arrival, but what about the example He set. What if we look at the Christmas story as something to follow not only something to celebrate? For the next few weeks, we are going to look at the biblical principles behind the Christmas story and try to follow this example ourselves. Jesus did say “follow Me”.
