Jimmy Arita

Associate Chaplain (Sports Chaplaincy)

Jimmy Arita has the honor of serving in his role as a Sports Chaplain with the Newport Beach Outrigger Canoe Club. As a team member, Jimmy has paddled and ministered with them for many years. He leads prayer before and after practices and competitions, provide pastoral advice when needed, and pray for, and make hospital visits when illnesses, accidents, or injuries occur. In addition, Jimmy is called upon by other canoe clubs to assist in these functions when needed. Giving ministry to the members and families of the Outrigger community has been extremely satisfying. Jimmy’s availability to help others come to know Christ and grow in their understanding of the Scriptures and Biblical principles has flourished wherever an outrigger tournament is found.
