Sermon Series: Fruit That Remains

Faithfulness, Gentleness & Self-Control

Pastor Jared Mueller
Over the past two weeks, we've seen how the fruit of the Spirit grows from the foundation of God's unconditional love. This week, we reach the top of the tower with faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We often get the process backwards. We try to use self-control to become more like Jesus, relying on our own effort to change. But true transformation begins with resting in God's love. As we experience His love, our hearts are filled with His joy and peace, and out of that place, His goodness and kindness begin to overflow through us, and self-control becomes the natural fruit of a life surrendered to the Holy Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit is always an inside-out work of God.
