Sermon Series: Come Follow Me

Not On My Watch - Sunday, April 26, 2026

Pastor Sean Minutella
God has always designed faith to be passed from one generation to the next. When discipleship is neglected, a “breach” forms, leaving people vulnerable and disconnected from a real relationship with Jesus. But through intentional discipleship, the church can rebuild what has been broken and help others truly follow Him.

Sermon Series: Come Follow Me

Being a Christian is often seen as subscribing to a set of beliefs or adopting certain doctrinal statements. Although this is an important part of our faith life, it is just one aspect of it. The word Christian was first used in Antioch for followers of “the Way.” Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6). That means that in order to follow Him, we do not only believe certain tenants correctly (the Truth), but we are called to adopt His way of life (the Way). We could effectively use the term disciple, apprentice of, or follower of Jesus as proper synonyms for “Christian.” Jesus interacted with each one of His disciples and said, “Come follow me.” As Christians, He continues to call us today to do the same.
